Form V (tafaʿʿul) تَزَمَّلَ يَتَزَمَّلُ تَزَمُّلًاtazammala yatazammalu tazammulan: to wrap oneself in a cloth; to put on a cloak; مُتَزَمِّلٌmutazammil ⟵ مُزَّمِّلٌmuzzammil (the tāʾ assimilated into the zāy): one wrapped in a cloak — and from it the sūrah takes its name. Only once in the Quran: ﴿يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ﴾ (Al-Muzzammil 73:1)Note: this and «الْمُدَّثِّرal-muddaththir» are both examples of the same morphological rule: assimilation (idghām) of the tāʾ of form تفعّلtafaʿʿul into the following letter.
