غ ل قgh-l-q

(س) غَلِقَ يَغْلَقُ غَلَقًاghaliqa yaghlaqu ghalaqan: (of a door) to be shut; to be narrow-hearted. (This verb is not used in the Quran.)

Form II (tafʿīl) غَلَّقَ يُغَلِّقُ تَغْلِيْقًاghallaqa yughalliqu taghlīqan: to shut firmly and completely; to make narrow (Form II here is for multiplicity and intensity, that is, she bolted all the doors firmly). ﴿وَغَلَّقَتِ الْاَبْوَابَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ﴾ (Yūsuf 12:23)
