غ ض ضgh-ḍ-ḍ
(ن) غَضَّ يَغُضُّ غَضًّاghaḍḍa yaghuḍḍu ghaḍḍan (original form: غَضَضَ يَغْضُضُghaḍaḍa yaghḍuḍu): to lower, to cast down (the gaze or the voice).
اُغْضُضْughḍuḍ (imperative (amr)): lower, keep down! ﴿قُلْ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ يَغُضُّوْا مِنْ اَبْصَارِهِمْ﴾ (An-Nūr 24:30); ﴿وَاغْضُضْ مِنْ صَوْتِكَ﴾ (Luqmān 31:19); ﴿اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَغُضُّوْنَ اَصْوَاتَهُمْ عِنْدَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ﴾ (Al-Ḥujurāt 49:3)
