و ک زw-k-z
(ض) وَكَزَ يَكِزُ وَكْزًاwakaza yakizu wa-kzan: to punch, to strike with the closed fist. The lexicographers say that وَكْزwakz is done with the fist and لَكْزlakz with the open palm. Only once in the Quran, in the account of Mūsā (peace be upon him) and the killing of the Copt: ﴿فَوَكَزَهُۥ مُوْسٰى فَقَضٰى عَلَيْهِ﴾ (Al-Qaṣaṣ 28:15) — from which it is known that the killing was not intentional.
