(ف) صَدَعَ يَصْدَعُ صَدْعًاṣadaʿa yaṣdaʿu ṣadʿan: (1) to split without separating, to crack (2) to declare openly, to make manifest.
صَدْعٌṣadʿ (noun, ism dhāt): crack, fissure. ﴿وَالْاَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ﴾ (Aṭ-Ṭāriq 86:12)
اِصْدَعْiṣdaʿ (imperative, amr): declare openly, make manifest. ﴿فَاصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ﴾ (Al-Ḥijr 15:94)
Form II (tafʿīl) صَدَّعَ يُصَدِّعُ تَصْدِيْعًاṣaddaʿa yuṣaddiʿu taṣdīʿan: to crack repeatedly; its passive صُدِّعَ يُصَدَّعُṣuddiʿa yuṣaddaʿu literally means to be cracked repeatedly, and from this is taken the sense of being afflicted with a headache. ﴿لَّا يُصَدَّعُوْنَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنْزِفُوْنَ﴾ (Al-Wāqiʿah 56:19)
Form V (tafaʿʿul) تَصَدَّعَ يَتَصَدَّعُ تَصَدُّعًاtaṣaddaʿa yataṣaddaʿu taṣadduʿan: to burst into pieces with effort: (1) to be rent (2) to be divided. ﴿يَوْمَئِذٍ يَّصَّدَّعُوْنَ﴾ (Ar-Rūm 30:43); مُتَصَدِّعٌmutaṣaddiʿ (active participle, ism fāʿil): bursting, dividing. ﴿خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللّٰهِ﴾ (Al-Ḥashr 59:21)
