ش ط طsh-ṭ-ṭ
(ض) شَطَّ يَشِطُّ شَطَطًاshaṭṭa yashiṭṭu shaṭaṭan: to go beyond the fixed limit, to exceed the bounds. ﴿لَقَدْ قُلْنَآ اِذًا شَطَطًا﴾ (Al-Kahf 18:14); ﴿وَّاَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُوْلُ سَفِيْهُنَا عَلَي اللّٰهِ شَطَطًا﴾ (Al-Jinn 72:4)
Form IV (ifʿāl) اَشَطَّ يُشِطُّ اِشْطَاطًاashaṭṭa yushiṭṭu ishṭāṭan: to depart far from the truth, to act unjustly. ﴿وَلَا تُشْطِطْ وَاهْدِنَآ اِلٰى سَوَآءِ الصِّرَاطِ﴾ (Ṣād 38:22)
