ش ط رsh-ṭ-r
(ن) شَطَرَ يَشْطُرُ شَطْرًاshaṭara yashṭuru shaṭran: to divide a thing into two equal parts.
شَطْرٌshaṭr: the half of a thing; then also used for the direction or side of a thing. ﴿فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ﴾ (Al-Baqarah 2:144)
