خ ر صkh-r-ṣ
(ن) خَرَصَ يَخْرُصُ خَرْصًاkharaṣa yakhruṣu kharṣan: to estimate fruit without any measure or weight, to guess, to conjecture. ﴿اِنْ هُمْ اِلَّا يَخْرُصُوْنَ﴾ (Al-Anʿām 6:116)
خَرَّاصٌkharrāṣ (intensive form, ṣīghat al-mubālaghah, on the pattern فعّالfaʿʿāl): one who guesses again and again, at every turn, i.e. a liar. ﴿قُتِلَ الْخَرّٰصُوْنَ﴾ (Adh-Dhāriyāt 51:10)
