(ف) كَهَلَ يَكْهَلُ كُهُوْلَةًkahala yakhalu kuhūlatan: to reach middle age (the age after youth has passed and before old age) (this verb is not used in the Quran).
كَهْلٌkahl pl. كُهُوْلٌkuhūl (adjective): a man of middle age. Twice in the Quran, both times concerning Jesus (peace be upon him): ﴿وَيُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا﴾ (Āl ʿImrān 3:46); ﴿تُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا﴾ (Al-Māʾidah 5:110)
