غ م زgh-m-z
(ض) غَمَزَ يَغْمِزُ غَمْزًاghamaza yaghmizu ghamzan: to make a sign with the eye or eyebrow, to wink in mockery. (This verb is not used in the Quran.)
Form VI (tafāʿul) تَغَامَزَ يَتَغَامَزُ تَغَامُزًاtaghāmaza yataghāmazu taghāmuzan: to wink at one another. Only once in the Quran, in the description of the sinners' mockery of the believers: ﴿وَإِذَا مَرُّوْا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُوْنَ﴾ (Al-Muṭaffifīn 83:30).
