ض ی زḍ-y-z
(ض) ضَازَ يَضِيْزُ ضَيْزًاḍāza yaḍīzu ḍayzan (original form: ضَيَزَḍayaza): to wrong, to curtail someone's due, to divide unjustly.
ضِيْزَيٰḍīzā (pattern فُعْلَيٰfuʿlā, adjective): crooked, unjust — the morphological point is that although its pattern is فُعْلَيٰfuʿlā, the ḍād was given a kasrah so that the yāʾ remains intact, and the grammarians called this a peculiarity of the word. Only once in the Quran: ﴿تِلْكَ إِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيْزٰى﴾ (An-Najm 53:22).
