ع ط فʿ-ṭ-f
(ض) عَطَفَ يَعْطِفُ عَطْفًاʿaṭafa yaʿṭifu ʿaṭfan: to incline; to turn the reins. (this verb is not used in the Quran).
عِطْفٌʿiṭf: the edge or side of anything. ﴿ثَانِيَ عِطْفِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ﴾ (Al-Ḥajj 22:9)
