ع ض ضʿ-ḍ-ḍ
(س) عَضَّ يَعَضُّ عَضًّاʿaḍḍa yaʿaḍḍu ʿaḍḍan (original form: عَضِضَ يَعْضَضُʿaḍiḍa yaʿḍaḍu): to bite something with the teeth, to chew. ﴿وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلٰى يَدَيْهِ﴾ (Al-Furqān 25:27); ﴿عَضُّوْا عَلَيْكُمُ الْاَنَامِلَ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ﴾ (Āl ʿImrān 3:119)
