These ayaat talk about the establishment of a pure society through the institution of marriage and the eradication of immoral practices. To provide context, the session begins with a recap of the preceding ayaat (verses 30-31), which established the foundational rules of modesty, commanding both believing men and women to lower their gazes (Ghad-e-Basar) and detailing the boundaries of Hijab to protect society from obscenity.

Building upon that foundation of modesty, ayaat 32 till 34 talk about the proactive measures a society must take to eliminate the roots of immorality. These ayaat command the believers to facilitate the marriages of the unmarried among them, including widows and divorcees, as well as their righteous slaves. They beautifully reassure the believers that poverty should never be a barrier to marriage, promising that Allah will enrich them from His boundless bounty. Furthermore, these ayaat instruct those who currently lack the means to marry to maintain strict chastity until Allah provides for them. The ayaat also lay down the revolutionary injunction of Mukataba—allowing slaves to earn their freedom—while commanding the community to assist them financially. Finally, a severe prohibition is issued against forcing slave girls into prostitution for worldly gain, promising Allah's ultimate forgiveness and mercy for those who were coerced.
