What comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil, is from yourself. Do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction. Don’t spread news to others without verification; and even in that case put it before people of knowledge and power who can understand it better. When you are greeted with a greeting, greet [in return] with one better than it or [at least] return it

سورہ نسا کی آیات ۷۹ تا ۸۶ کا لفظی ترجمہ اور تفسیر، تمھیں جو سکھ بھی پہنچتا ہے خدا کی طرف سے پہنچتا ہے اور جو دکھ پہنچتا ہے وہ تمھارے اپنے نفس کی طرف سے پہنچتا ہے۔ کیا یہ لوگ قرآن پر غور نہیں کرتے، اور اگر یہ اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کی طرف سے ہوتا تو اس میں وہ بڑا اختلاف پاتے۔ہر خبر تحقیق کے بغیر آگے مت پھیلادو، جب تمھیں سلامتی کی کوئی دعا دی جائے تو تم بھی سلامتی کی اس سے بہتر دعا دو یا اسی کو لوٹا دو۔
