(س) ثَقِفَ يَثْقَفُ ثَقْفًاthaqifa yathqafu thaqfan: to catch hold of a thing by a skilled eye, to get it into one's power. ﴿وَاقْتُلُوْهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوْهُمْ﴾ (Al-Baqarah 2:191); ﴿فَاِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَرْبِ﴾ (Al-Anfāl 8:57)
