ث ع بth-ʿ-b
(ف) ثَعَبَ يَثْعَبُ ثَعْبًاthaʿaba yathʿabu thaʿban: for water to gush out, to flow.
ثُعْبَانthuʿbān pl. ثَعَابِيْنthaʿābīn: a great snake, a serpent — so named because it glides along like flowing water. Twice in the Quran, both times concerning the staff of Mūsā: ﴿فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِيْنٌ﴾ (Al-Aʿrāf 7:107; Ash-Shuʿarāʾ 26:32)
