(س) سَمِنَ يَسْمَنُ سِمَنًاsamina yasmanu simanan: to be fat, to be plump.
سَمِيْنٌsamīn pl. سِمَانٌsimān (adjective on the pattern of فَعِيْلٌfaʿīl): fat, plump. ﴿فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِيْنٍ﴾ (Adh-Dhāriyāt 51:26); ﴿سَبْعَ بَقَرٰتٍ سِمَانٍ﴾ (Yūsuf 12:43)
Form IV (ifʿāl) اَسْمَنَ يُسْمِنُ اِسْمَانًاasmana yusminu ismānan: to fatten, to make fat. ﴿لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِيْ مِنْ جُوْعٍ﴾ (Al-Ghāshiyah 88:7)
