— From this root also comes جُبْنjubn (cowardice).
جَبِيْنjabīn pl. أَجْبِنَة وَجُبُنajbinah wa-jubun: the side of the forehead, the part near the temple; the lexicographers say the forehead has two جَبِينjabīn and in between is the جَبْهَةjabhah. Only once in the Quran: ﴿وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِيْنِ﴾ (Aṣ-Ṣāffāt 37:103)
