ح ص لḥ-ṣ-l

(ن) حَصَلَ يَحْصُلُ حُصُوْلًاḥaṣala yaḥṣulu ḥuṣūlan: to emerge and become manifest, to remain over — the original sense is that the pure part of a thing is separated from its husk and comes to light.

Form II (tafʿīl) حَصَّلَ يُحَصِّلُ تَحْصِيْلًاḥaṣṣala yuḥaṣṣilu taḥṣīlan: to lay open and separate out, to collect and bring to light. This root occurs only once in the Quran, and that in the passive of Form II (tafʿīl): ﴿وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُوْرِ﴾ (Al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:10) — i.e. the secrets of the breasts will be laid open and separated out.
