ض ھ اḍ-h-ʾ
(ف) ضَهَأَ يَضْهَأُ ضَهْأًḍahaʾa yaḍhaʾu ḍahʾan: to resemble.
Form III (mufāʿalah) ضَاهَأَ يُضَاهِئُ مُضَاهَأَةًḍāhaʾa yuḍāhiʾu muḍāhaʾatan: to imitate someone, to take on a resemblance. Only once in the Quran: ﴿يُضَاهِئُوْنَ قَوْلَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ﴾ (At-Tawbah 9:30) — i.e. they imitate the saying of the earlier disbelievers.
