(ن) دَمَرَ يَدْمُرُ دُمُوْرًاdamara yadmuru dumūran: to perish.
Form II (tafʿīl) دَمَّرَ يُدَمِّرُ تَدْمِيْرًاdammara yudammiru tadmīran: (1) to destroy; its object comes directly. ﴿فَدَمَّرْنٰهَا تَدْمِيْرًا﴾ (Al-Isrāʾ 17:16); (2) to bring destruction upon someone; here it takes the preposition عَلٰىʿalā. ﴿دَمَّرَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ﴾ (Muḥammad 47:10)
