د ف قd-f-q
(ض، ن) دَفَقَ يَدْفِقُdafaqa yadfiqu / يَدْفُقُ دَفْقًاyadfuqu dafqan: to gush forth or pour out forcefully, to pour.
دَافِقdāfiq (active participle, ism fāʿil): gushing forth. The grammarians have noted here that in "مَآءٍ دَافِقٍmāʾ dāfiq" the active participle (ism fāʿil) has the sense of the passive participle (مَدْفُوْقmadfūq), or is used by way of attribution (i.e. that which has gushing in it). Only once in the Quran: ﴿خُلِقَ مِنْ مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ﴾ (Aṭ-Ṭāriq 86:6)
