(س) تَرِفَ يَتْرَفُ تَرَفًاtarifa yatrafu tarafan: to be prosperous, to live in ease and comfort.
Form IV (ifʿāl) اَتْرَفَ يُتْرِفُ اِتْرَافًاatrafa yutrifu itrāfan: to grant prosperity. ﴿وَاَتْرَفْنٰهُمْ فِي الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا﴾ (Al-Muʾminūn 23:33)
مُتْرَفٌmutraf (passive participle, ism mafʿūl): one granted prosperity, affluent. ﴿اِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوْهَآ﴾ (Sabaʾ 34:34)
