(س) سَعِدَ يَسْعَدُ سَعَادَةًsaʿida yasʿadu saʿādatan: to be fortunate; سَعِدَsaʿida and سُعِدَsuʿida (in the passive form) both mean "to be fortunate". ﴿وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ سُعِدُوْا فَفِي الْجَنَّةِ﴾ (Hūd 11:108)
سَعِيْدٌsaʿīd (adjective on the pattern of فَعِيْلٌfaʿīl): fortunate; blessed. ﴿فَمِنْهُمْ شَقِيٌّ وَّسَعِيْدٌ﴾ (Hūd 11:105)
