ق ل عq-l-ʿ
(ف) قَلَعَ يَقْلَعُ قَلْعًاqalaʿa yaqlaʿu qalʿan: to uproot; to remove someone (from office). (This verb is not used in the Quran.)
Form IV (ifʿāl) اَقْلَعَ يُقْلِعُ اِقْلَاعًاaqlaʿa yuqliʿu iqlāʿan: to desist from something, to stop.
اَقْلِعِيْaqliʿī (feminine imperative, amr): hold back! Only once in the Quran: ﴿وَيٰسَمَآءُ اَقْلِعِيْ﴾ (Hūd 11:44)
