ن و اn-w-ʾ
(ن) نَاءَ يَنُوْءُ نَوْءًاnāʾa yanūʾu nawʾan (original form: نَوَأَnawaʾa): to bend under a burden, to have difficulty rising because of heaviness. The lexicographers differ as to whether it means "to rise" or "to bend", and some have counted it among the words with opposite meanings. Only once in the Quran, in the description of the treasures of Qārūn: ﴿مَاۤ إِنَّ مَفَاتِحَهُۥ لَتَنُوْٓأُ بِالْعُصْبَةِ أُولِي الْقُوَّةِ﴾ (Al-Qaṣaṣ 28:76) — i.e. its keys weighed heavily on a band of strong men.
