ف ق عf-q-ʿ
(ف) فَقَعَ يَفْقَعُ فُقُوْعًاfaqaʿa yafqaʿu fuqūʿan: for a colour to be pure and vivid, to be very bright. (This verb is not used in the Quran.)
فَاقِعٌfāqiʿ (active participle, ism fāʿil): deep, vivid and bright (used to intensify the colour yellow). This root occurs only once in the Quran: ﴿صَفْرَآءُ فَاقِعٌ لَّوْنُهَا تَسُرُّ النّٰظِرِيْنَ﴾ (Al-Baqarah 2:69)
