ع ی بʿ-y-b
(ض) عَابَ يَعِيْبُ عَيْبًاʿāba yaʿību ʿayban: (1) to be defective (2) to make something defective, to put a fault in it. ﴿فَاَرَدْتُّ اَنْ اَعِيْبَهَا﴾ (Al-Kahf 18:79). Note: "اَعِيْبَaʿība" here is the imperfect (muḍāriʿ) of the bare form (mujarrad), first person singular, not form IV (bāb ifʿāl).
